Your first 12 months — operational and hands-on:
- You work closely with our Accounting Manager on monthly, quarterly, and annual close: account reconciliation and clean-up in DATEV, AR/AP reconciliation, accruals and provisions.
- You own liquidity planning: rolling cash forecast, weekly cash update, payment runs, and receivables management.
- You produce monthly reporting: actual vs. plan, variance analysis, commentary, and the C-level view.
- You support budget planning and the in-year forecast cycles: gathering inputs, consolidating them, and pressure-testing the assumptions that come out of the business.
- You prepare KPIs and materials for reporting to shareholders and our advisory board.
- You bring structure to public funding and compliance topics: grant reporting, deadlines, evidence, documentation.
- You act as a sparring partner for Sales and Customer Delivery on deal economics, contribution margins, and pricing questions.
- You build processes and controls that don't exist yet — and document them so they work without you.
After that — when you and we are ready:
- You gradually take ownership of the forecast and the planning model.
- You lead the finance team (Accounting Manager, Accounting Assistant, and further roles over time).
- You evolve the finance function from reporting to steering: governance, approval processes, forecast accuracy.
- You become the standing counterpart for shareholders, tax advisors, and auditors.
